Independent Studio Memberships

An accessible way to be part of the studio.

Half Shelf: $180/month

Full Shelf: $245/month

3-month minimum commitment

A limited number of Sponsored memberships are available to help make the studio more accessible. This level is supported in part by our Generating members, helping us build a space that is both sustainable and open to more of our community. We aim to open 1 Sponsored spot for every two Generating members. If Sponsored Membership is currently full, please add yourself to the waitlist— new spots open as our Generating community grows.

Sponsored members share the same access as Standard members, including full usage of our facilities during open studio hours as well as unlimited access to our house clay.

Sponsored membership includes a personal shelf designed for active work, with additional shelf space available for those who need more room to grow. Be sure to select the membership that corresponds to your shelving needs (half or full shelf).

To help make participation more accessible, we include a $30 monthly firing credit as well as 10% discount on clay supplies, market items, and Gather clubs at the Sponsored Membership level.

The core membership

Half Shelf: $235/month

Full Shelf: $300/month

This level reflects the true cost of maintaining the studio—keeping the kilns firing, materials stocked, and the space running day to day.

Standard members share fully in the life of the studio. Each Standard membership includes a personal shelf designed for active work, with additional shelf space available for those who need more room to grow. Be sure to select the membership that corresponds to your shelving needs (half or full shelf).

Includes:

• Unlimited studio access during opening hours (reservation required)

• Personal shelf

  • full shelves measure 18”×60”

  • half shelves measure 18”x30”

• House clay (white stoneware)

• Access to studio glazes, slips, washes, and surface materials

• Use of all shared equipment

• Kiln firing at $0.04 per cubic inch

• 5% discount on clay supplies, market items, and Gather clubs

• 20% discount on semester classes and ceramics workshops

• Access to dedicated wheel and handbuilding areas

• Private kiln rentals available

• 16 Shimpo RK Whisper wheels

• Brent extruder with die kits

• 10+ communal banding wheels

• 3 Giffin Grips

• Slump molds, rolling guides, heat gun, and more

• Nidec Mini slab roller (with plans to upgrade as we grow)

This level is for members who wish to contribute a bit more in support of the broader community. Generating members help make the Clay for All initiative possible—expanding access to ceramics for more people.

Generating members share fully in the life of the studio, with the same access as our other members.
