Gather celebrations are designed to feel a little different. Choose from our collection of hands-on creative experiences, and we’ll take care of the space, materials, instruction, setup, and cleanup so you can settle in and enjoy being together.

Every private event begins with time to gather over bites, followed by our signature Lantern Gathering, before moving into your chosen workshop. Whether you’re celebrating a 7th birthday, a 70th, a team that deserves some time away from their desks, or a milestone worth remembering, our events are less about the perfect party and more about creating something—and a memory—together.

What’s A Lantern Gathering?

Before we begin creating, everyone gathers for one of our favorite Gather traditions. As the lantern is passed around, guests share a wish, memory, or special message, then tuck their handwritten note inside. Guests are also welcome to bring a small token—a Polaroid, flower, stone, or other meaningful memento—creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake to treasure long after the celebration.

Workshop Menu

Inspired by the people we love—or characters from our imagination—guests will transform a Gather-Made ceramic vase into a one-of-a-kind personality using colorful glazes, expressive faces, playful patterns, and thoughtful details. Once fired, each portrait vase becomes the perfect home for a single bloom or petite bouquet, bringing a little joy to a windowsill, desk, or bedside table.
All of our pottery painting bisque is Gather-Made—handcrafted in-house by local potters before being bisque fired and ready for painting. By taking part in pottery painting through private events or drop-in visits , you're not only creating something truly unique, you're also supporting local makers and the artists who create each piece.

Host a handbuilding experience with one of our talented clay mentors! In this workshop you'll complete a handbuilding project from start to finish using traditional slab building techniques. Think precious mug, unique vase or a beautiful catch-all, made by you!
Each guest may keep one finished piece, which our team will glaze and fire. Finished work will be ready for pickup within 2–3 weeks.

After light bites and Gather’s signature Lantern Gathering, guests will put on their landscape architect hats—first sketching their designs, then bringing their own whimsical gnome gardens to life. Along the way, they’ll paint an enchanted house, plant succulents, sow seeds, and create a tiny world using moss, rocks, pebbles, sea glass, and other beautiful treasures. Each garden is entirely unique—a little living keepsake to enjoy long after the celebration is over.

During this hands-on workshop, guests will learn Gather's unique approach to flower crown making. Founder Jessica Potenza, a multidisciplinary artist but also a former professional horse braider, adapted traditional flower crown techniques using the same braiding methods she once used on horses—creating a beautiful, secure crown without the need for hot glue. The result is a technique that's approachable for younger hands, enjoyable for beginners, and a wonderful skill to use again and again.
Using a thoughtfully curated selection of fresh and dried florals, each guest will design and create their own one-of-a-kind flower crown—a beautiful keepsake to wear throughout the celebration and enjoy long after the day is over.

During this hands-on session, we'll introduce the basics of wreath making and walk participants through the fun process of creating something unique and beautiful. Each guest will design and arrange their own mini wreath—a beautiful keepsake to take home and enjoy long after the celebration.

Celebrate the joy of creating together! After Gather’s signature Lantern Gathering and a themed storytime over herbal tea, grown-ups and little ones will work side by side to design their own beautiful fresh flower arrangements to take home and enjoy.
Little hands are wonderfully capable, and with a little guidance from our instructors and their favorite grown-up, even our youngest makers will delight in selecting blooms, learning how to condition them, and arranging flowers in their own unique way. Each arrangement becomes a sweet keepsake of the time spent creating together—and the kiddos always walk away very proud of their hard work!
